The French designer Anny Blatt, whose career paralled those of Coco Chanel and Lanvin, created elegant knitwear for an exclusive clientele in the 1920’s and 1930’s. Today, Anny Blatt yarn is one of the luxury yarn brands of the world’s oldest and most enduring yarn manufacturers, Pierre de Loye. Located still in the south of France, Pierre de Loye also produces the Bouton D’or brand of luxury knitting yarns that is also available at The Knitting Basket. Mark your Calendars! The Anny Blatt 2008 Spring & Summer Trunk show will be on display at The Knitting Basket, May 2 & 3. More than 20 fabulous designs will inspire and delight the knitter in you. All trunk show designs can be assembled into a sweater kit in the colorway of your choice. You may join the Anny Blatt Knitting Coterie™ for a period of one year. There is never a minimum purchase requirement. Founding members in all levels, those who join between May 1, 2008 and April 30, 2009, will receive special recognition in the “members only” area of The Knitting Basket Website. Membership begins with payment of the membership fee and expires automatically at the end of a year.
